Overview

This English learning course is based on an individual programme for each student. There are six levels of learning: beginner, elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate,upper intermediate and IELTS preparation.
Students move from one level to the next when they successfully pass a transition test. Students at the intermediate and upper intermediate levels can set an external IELTS internationally accepted examination.

Entry Requirements

Pre-entry placement test including:
  • Grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, writing and speaking
  • OR current IELTS score 4.5
  • OR Current TOEFL score 53
  • OR current PTE score 42

Learning Outcomes
  • Be more confident in social situations.
  • Have an expanded knowledge of NZ culture.
  • Achieve over 70% in end of course summative assessments.

Course Duration

  • 12 weeks
  • Monday to Friday
  • 20 classroom hours per week
  • 5 self-study hours per week

  • Formative - submitting weekly
  • Summative - End of course (week 12)
